    Blue Mounds, WI - Weather

    Freeze/Thaw
This is the beginning of freeze/thaw so it may take a while for the ground to freeze. Be careful if you try to ride any time this week. Ride early or late. Be aware that the sun will melt the top layer and turn it into mud, even when it is well below freezing. If you encounter mud or you find that your tires are leaving ruts or knobby marks on the trail, please turn around and come back when the trail is frozen. Damage caused during freeze/thaw will have to be taken care of before we can open in the spring. We are also looking for volunteers to help with winter grooming. Contact us if you can help.

The trail can always use more love. We are currently in need of leaf blowing and are looking for volunteers to help with winter grooming - if you enjoy Blue Mound please help us continue to make improvements by volunteering.
