We are working on getting CamRock listed as an official Dane County Snowshoe park. We need to do some things with signage, etc. Hopefully next year.
It does seem to me that with our snowfall in these areas we should be able to handle it with either shoeing or riding it in. We need to call a stompin' party right after the next big snowfall and see what the response is. After I was able to finally get through everything on Wednesday the whole park is now ridable with a fat bike. It just took two weeks to get it done. I put over 12 hours into stomping and clearing the trail of downed trees and branches. It is as soon as I could get it done with the holidays, a family trip, and work all thrown in there.

Thanks for the hard work Chuck.  Night ride this week to celebrate the fruits of your labor?

Would love to G. I would love that. Unfortunately I think I broke my hand at Ray's yesterday. I will see what the doc has to say tomorrow. Maybe he can set me up with a ridable cast ;D

^ Got some great news! The hand is not broken! The doctor was as surprised as I was. With the amount of bruising and swelling she had them take two sets of X-rays from every angle before she was satisfied there were no fractures. Guess I have some strong bones! Just some major bruising, cartilage damage, etc. The swelling has gone way down in the last day or so. So good news.

It will be interesting what shape the trails will be in once it cools back down on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. My guess is they will be in great shape! Rock hard, where you can use the side of the packed area for banked turns. I have ridden trails like this once and it was a total blast. That is if most of the rain stays away and we have a good bit of snow left.

The upper prairie trails (next to the road in the upper section near Camrock III) could still use packing in if someone gets out there. It should only take about 20 minutes to do. It would be great to do when the snow is soft. There are no tracks of any sort on this section. I will be away at a funeral until Sunday.
