    New steed

    SLAM THAT STEM!

Most fatbikes are set up way too upright in stock formation. Good set-up.

A few mods:  shorter stem, wider bar, smaller (and more blingy) chainring  (previous set up had too narrow bars and too long stem = hard to manhandle front wheel)  Might decide to throw on brooks saddle.

    What size ring? 30T?

I'm running a RaceFace narrow/wide 30T and still needed an 41T add-a-cog to get through some deeper snow or hills.

How are you liking the bike overall?

Which add-a-cog did you go with?

MBTools from ebay. I pulled the 15t and 17t cogs, repaced both with a 16t and added the 41t.

Shifts surprisingly well in and out of the 41t.

XT shadow long cage w/long b-tension screw.

I'll be interested in hearing your longer term report on that.
