With the warm weather we will need to be flexible on riding or risk rutting the trails. I would think with the temps at 40 we will have mashed potatoes soon if we don't already. If the trails get rutted now, and cold temps returning by Friday, the ruts will stay for a long time to come. That is not fun for anybody.
I have seen other trail systems explain as similar to riding on dirt: Simply of you are leaving a rut please do not ride. You are damaging the trails for other users.
For packing the trails it is prolly best to get out the snowshoes. They won't leave the ruts and things should really pack well now.
