We had a nice group out tonight. Most took a turn at the front. We hit it pretty good. Then stopped quite a bit to chat. All in all a really fun ride, and some good BS and beers back at CRS afterward.

Awesome Nate! Apparently Revolution Cycles is coming out as well. Though they are coming a bit later, so we will have to see if we can circle around and meet up with them.

It's going to be another amazing fall night for riding. Forecast has rain waiting until midnight, and temps at ride start close to 70!
Folks I am pretty confident in saying we won't have weather this nice for a night ride until spring.
Charge up those lights and head on out!

Another really great ride tonight!
A smallish turnout. But we kept a tradition alive...we had yet another new rider out to check out the night riding scene!

A light jacket was all that was needed tonight to be perfectly comfortable. Trails were the perfect tacky goodness you can only dream about in the summer. Nice crisp air. A cool sunset. The stars after sunset were amazing. And the BS at CRS afterward was top-notch.
All in all a really great night!

Let's get out and ride tonight! Lots of wind to dry things up. Good fall weather. Cool. Damp. And Dark. Will it be the first non-shorts ride of the season? We will see....

May not make it tonight. In the hospital waiting to get discharged.........long story.

So wouldn't ya know it. They take the rain forecast down to 1%, and 1/2 hour later the skies open up. Only about 1/8" of rain, but with a short time before the ride, it's gotta be called off. No time to dry. Slippery, wet, and dark is not a good combination....for riding bikes.
So we are calling an audible! I just got off the phone with Derek, and we are calling an Executive Meeting (that's the term I gave to Janet) for tonight That means the football game will be on. There will be cold beer. And we are going to get out the maps and future plans for CamRock. Talk some strategy on expansion plans, trail needs, equipment needs, winter grooming, you name it. Open forum to discuss plans and how to get after it!

So it is looking like the ride is more and more likely. The latest weather either has it dry tomorrow, or a slight chance of a shower around noon. Either way the trails should be a great shape for riding!
Nice fall weather, nice tacky dirt, color starting to show in the trees, the crunch of leaves under the tires, and the nice cool air that comes in as the sun sets. This is why I think fall riding is the best time of year to ride! I can't wait.

It is looking very likely that I will be AWOL again for tomorrow's ride. Looks like night #4 this week of entertaining clients for World Dairy Expo.
Never Fear! Mike and Pete will keep the ride rockin'. It should be another awesome night for riding. It's that time of year to get used to the chill in the air and the darkness coming early.
I will be back riding as soon as possible!
