The rain today has all went south so far. If this holds it is going to be a great night for riding!

Finally! Great weather. It's going to be an awesome night for a ride!
Hope to see some cool folks there!

We've been a bit snake bitten lately. Last week was rained out at literally the last minute. And it's not looking to good for tonight's ride. Raining now and more showers are predicted.
Prolly best to just plan to stay off the trails tonight and head out to see a great mountain bike movie. And all the proceeds go to help support our trails! How can you go wrong?

Too wet to ride tonight folks. Sorry.

Sorry- won't make it out tonight. Entertaining some clients from Korea.

We will keep on eye on it. But it is not looking great for the ride tonight. We did not get a lot of rain, and the trails were pretty dry. But this dark and muggy weather, and some intermittent sprinkles, is really not letting anything dry. If we get the predicted shower this afternoon we will be off for sure  :'(
Now if this weather breaks the sun comes out and the breezes come that could change things in a hurry....cross fingers!

It's looking like a great night for riding! Cool weather. Tacky trails. Good friends. Cold beer. That's what I call a great night. Come on out!

We were blessed to sneak in the ride tonight. It was great as always. Now the skies have opened up. It's going to be a bit before another  awesome ride like that happens.

Scratch that. Got a lot less rain than expected. The trails soaked that little bit right up. Ride is back on! 😀

So we got the answer on the rain. We didn't get a lot, but unfortunately it was just enough to close the trails for tonight. Dang. I was really looking forward to another awesome Thursday Night Ride!

The trails are perfect. Buffed from a few thousand wheels last weekend. And trimmed to perfection for all the racers in town. It really doesn't get any better.
Now will the rain hold off to keep the trails open? Let's hope so!

Barring traffic I should be sliding in just in time for the ride! I say let's take a spin on the Elite cours! A nice fun change-up, and we can see if there are any last-minute issues that need to be addressed before the race. Feel free to vote this down if yuh have other thoughts! It should be another beautiful night!

Recruit some volunteers for Sunday while you're riding tonight!

It is going to be an awesome night for riding! One of the big advantages of having the Battle of CamRock is that before and after the race we have the trails just dialed. They are as close to perfect as you can get right now.
And next week after the race they will be even more buffed!
And we get to ride on them. We are the lucky ones.

Well that was some fun tonight! No one wanted to lead the group out. Then we rode like the wind. Then we stopped to regroup. But really it turned into a bull session. Then we did this same scenario all over again. Like at least a half dozen times over! It was awesome. Finally we decided that the BS'ing might be better with a beer in hand so we adjourned to CamRock Sport for the after ride proclivities.
Good stuff.
For the first time ever I had a trail companion for the ride back to Rockdale. So a stop at the Rockdale Bar & Grill Seemed in order. And guess what? Thursday night is 2-for-1's! Three bucks for two Capital Maibocks. Really? Life is good.
And extra awesome that Chad Landowski, trail builder extraordinaire, decided to join us for one. That was the cherry on top. It has been a while and really good to see him again. I may sound old but I remember when he was the wrench at CamRock Sport. Anyway, it was a pretty awesome night any way you look at it.
