Hey, so we're starting up some 'traditional' road rides on weekday evenings on Madison's east side. I thought some folks might be interested, particularly when its too wet to hit the dirt.
Meets EVERY Tuesday/Thursday evening at Revolution Cycles. Try to get there around 6, rolling out at 6:15pm sharp April through September.
Bring all the food and water you'll need and A LIGHT until days are longer in early-May. Fast-conversational pace. ~35 miles or more if we're feeling spunky.
Our goal is to get a good workout in in a cooperative and supportive atmosphere! By "traditional" road ride we mean slick tires, drop bars, spandex (optional), two-abreast paceline as traffic allows. We work together as a group, stronger riders take longer pulls, weaker riders take shorter pulls or even just sit-in, so mid-level to advanced rider can come along. We've got a little Facebook group started
here.
Note that on Thursday there is also the 6:30pm Revolution "Shop Ride" which is more of a dirt/urban assault type ride; more casual and open to riders of any skill level, including beginners, if that is more your speed.
