Landowski Trailworx is currently re-building the east Pines Trail, so watch for trail closures. Part of this improved loop will need to be hand-built, so plan on coming out for the workday on May 6; many hands makes light work. After that, they will be moving on to building a skills development area in the clearing near the East Chalet for, primarily targeted at the youth program, but fun for all ages. Then, the plan is to build a much-needed boardwalk over the swampy area that connects the Pleasant View connector to the Creekside Trail. The new West Chalet is nearly complete as well, so take a look at it. If you are one of the few people who still rides the original downhill run, take a scouting run before you hit it wide-open; there is some pretty significant erosion damage. And if you are a fat-biker jonesing for snow, there was still a bit left on Sunday!
