Are the forums infested with Bots? I posted a for sale ad today for a Shimano 26" wheelset and my thread has 1,008 views already??? That seems seriously high for just posting it today.

The internet: it's infested with bots, it's not localized to CORP's website.  The view count is likely not as accurate as it used to be given the amount of search indexing that is going on now. What it might tell you is how popular the subject and/or content (keywords) of the post is.
