Weeds- it is time for a beat down. Please message someone if you want to help. Please post your work here and enter it on the volunteer log so others can see what is already complete. Please post here if there is an especially bad area or a tree down so that workers know about it.

Thanks Alex K for helping on a hot day yesterday to trim weeds from the parking lot to the prairie. Everything west of the prairie still needs a trim. There is now gas and string in the locker with the trimmer. Bugs are out too, so head nets were a must.

There are a couple trees down one near the parking lot as you head out and about to cross the bridge. Another out in the woods partway down slice. The woods need a trimming and so does the far prairie Mulligan. I’ll be out today with a chainsaw to clear the trees. If you can come out and run a string trimmer, let me know. 608-658-9383

We need your help for a trail work session.
The Middleton trails (aka Pleasant View) REALY need a hair cut and some hand tool fix up. Please join us at the trailhead 5:30 PM Wednesday the 7th. We will have a utility vehicle to make this much easier.
The plan is to shuttle trimmers, a mower, and hand tools to the work areas. We can shuttle volunteers where and when possible, but using a bike or feet may be more feasible depending on turnout. Volunteers should wear protective clothing and gloves. Please let us know if you plan to join; it will help with resource planning. You can reach us at pleasantview@madcitydirt.com.

As of Saturday - thanks Brian D. - the tree trimming issues are solved. The city must still remove the huge tree near trailhead.
On Wednesday our big crew concentrated on the hard to get to, far away and biggest mess situations. There are places closer to trailhead that could still use trimming. This where trailhead woods opens up and along the property line before the big prairie area. I have everything ready in the tool box if someone cares to pick up where we left off.
The low parts of rollers and berms could use some cleanup in quite a few places. This is hike with a McLeod, Rogue Hoe or flat shovel scenario.
Please report your progress here so we know where to continue any work.

Thank you Scott Mills for taking care of the stuff we could not get to on the group work night! Everyone, buy Scott and all the helpers a beer or give them a hug or a kiss or a thank you. Please consider helping. We have a tool needed tool box refresh and helper item request on deck for the CORP board approval tonight.
Thank you!
